How To Avoid SSD Recovery and Solid State Drive Recovery

Losing something in your room which you are quite familiar with is a total nightmare, but losing data stored on your SSD in which its workings might be entirely alien to a lot of people is nothing short of a heart attack.

The Solid state drive is one great technological innovation that has really upped the game when it comes to collecting and storing relevant virtual data. Sadly like with every fair-haired hero, the SSD does run into its Achilles heel now and then, an Achilles heel that is the loss of SSD data.

This data loss problem with the SSD is usually as a result of data deletion done in error or damage to the SSD itself that could happen because of a number of reasons.

Just like doctors intimate patients on steps in which they could help themselves during a heart attack, below highlight steps in which you can correctly recover lost data from a typical SSD.

With SSD recovery typically, there are a ton of ways in which you can recover lost data, and these various methods of  SSD recovery all have one thing in common, the use of a data recovery software.

Out of the many software available online that is employed for the correct recovery of lost SSD data, the most popular and the software of focus for this article is the Ease us data recovery wizard free edition, which is by far one of the very best when it comes to SSD recovery.

How to employ the Ease us data recovery wizard free edition and what it does for you during the SSD recovery process?

The Ease us data recovery software is straightforward and easy to use, which makes it well suited to help you get back lost data from your SSD; the entire process of SSD recovery with this software is basically a walk in the park.

Below are three easy steps to follow to quickly recover lost SSD data using the Ease us data recovery wizard free edition:

Step one

Before we get into the first step, it is important to note that though data recovery is very possible by a long shot, once the trim option on your SSD is enabled, there is sincerely nothing that can be done to recover any lost data in this case.

The above being said let’s get right into it.

The first step when using the Ease us data recovery software is to navigate to the disk map, click on the drive labeled x and then click on the scan option to initiate the search for all the available recoverable data.

The data found to be available for recovery during this process is the only data that you would be able to recover with this software.

Step two

The scan of the solid state drive lets you search for all the lost data available for recovery. As the scan process is in progress, a wide range of data is seen to pop up on your screen.

Step three

The third and final step is to search through all the data that has been brought up during the scan, and when you are satisfied that you have found the appropriate data you desire to recover, select said files and folders and then proceed by hitting the recover option and bam! The SSD recovery process is done.

Ensure that you choose a different storage option to save the newly recovered data.ie, do not save on the obviously compromised SSD.

See? Pretty easy if you ask me. Literally anyone can do it.

There is a little hitch with using the Ease us data recovery wizard free edition for SSD recovery though.

The free edition of the SSD recovery software has a 2 gig restriction meaning that whatever data you hope to recover has to be 2gig in size or under, or else the recovery process won’t pull through.

Don’t get your hopes down just yet, as there is a premium version of this fantastic software that lets you recover even larger data sizes during SSD recovery.

Now that we are done with how to recover lost data, have you ever heard the saying that prevention is better than cure?

Well, this is true.

Though being able to recover lost SSD data is such a tremendous and game-changing innovation, ensuring that the data loss hassle doesn’t come up in the first place will always be the better option.

Below are easy ways to ensure that the data stored in an SSD is iron-clad safe and the need for an SSD recovery never comes up:

Ensuring that the power is stable when using your SSD. a power surge could really do some damage to your SSD

Backing up all critical data stored on your SSD is one great way to ensure that you might not even need the data recovery process In the first place in the situation of data loss.

Ensuring that you don’t overuse or misuse your SSD to help ensure its durability

Employing the use of anti-virus to keep out viruses that could potentially damage your SSD and lead to data loss.

Beeping Hard Drive? Data Recovery 47 NYC Can Help!

Beeping and clicking may sound alike. They are, however, very different. Clicking can be commonplace. Beeping is never normal. In fact, it’s bad and serves as a distress signal from your machine that you need to utilize the pros at Data Recovery 47. That beeping likely means that one or more of the moving parts of your hard drive are stuck or cannot move properly. From our experience as New York City’s leader in data recovery, we can tell you that what’s happening is a malfunction with the spindle motor. This motor, which lives inside your hard drive, plays a vital role in your device. It spins the hard disk platter, which contains your data, at thousands of revolutions per minute. Another common culprit is the actuator and a stuck head stack. This is known as stiction.

What A Loud Noise Means Coming From Your Hard Drive, Data Recovery

What A Loud Noise Means Coming From Your Hard Drive, Data Recovery

The idea that loud noises may cause a hard drive to crash may seem a little odd at first, but what is often overlooked is that loud noises often accompany a hard drive crash which makes the situation worse and will need data recovery. In many instances, the noise itself can disrupt the data that is on the disk.
For any individual or business owner interested in protecting the data on their computers, storage systems, and mobile devices, it is imperative that you backup the data at another location and have the services of a reputable data recovery company at your call. When it comes to loud noises, there are certain precautions you can take to lower the risk of data loss.
Keep in mind that most noises, even loud ones, do not necessarily cause the loss of data. However, it is the vibrations that often accompany certain noises, such as those on the lower level of the spectrum, that causes the writing or reading head of the hard drive to move. Such noises, such as an incident back in 2008 when the sounds emanating from a fire suppression system actually caused data to be lost in a computer room, can be quite disconcerting.
There have been other cases, such as in Australia, France, and Romania where fire suppression systems caused noise that reached 130 decibels when inert gasses designed to suppress the fire also damaged hard drive systems because of the vibrations. While much of the data was retrieved, it still took several days of hard work.
Very loud noises, such as those that reach 110 decibels and above, may also cause vibrations that cause hard drives to fail needing data recovery. With the spacing between the data tracks inside the drive being so close, it is easy to have them misaligned because of a sudden, loud noise that causes some vibration. This has become a growing issue with modern hard drive disks that were introduced around a decade ago.
Lower the Noise Around Your Data Recovery
The first step is to identify potential noise-causing sources that may be near your hard drive systems. Especially fire-suppression systems that emit very loud noises during data recovery when in operation. Once you know where the noise may be coming from, you can take basic steps to ensure that your hard drives are protected.
Aim noise creators away from computer systems

Lower the noise from alarm systems

SSDs or tapes for storage data recovery
Place fire extinguisher nozzles close together to reduce noise
Remember to always back up your data at other, secure locations. That way, even if you lose some data due to noise, it will be properly backed up in another place. Calling a professional data recovery NYC company will also help in providing the right guidance that will minimize the damage to hard drive systems. While no amount of prevention may eliminate all data loss, it can be minimized so that only extreme situations may threaten the information that you have stored on your systems.

9 Signs Your SD Card is Damaged or Corrupt , SD Card Recovery

How do you know if your SD card is corrupted and you need SD card recovery  or possibly damaged? While some SD cards can crash without notice, there are often signs that appear before the card itself shuts down. If you recognize the signs that indicate potential corruption, you can take swift action to remove the data from the card and store it in another location.

What follows are nine signs that your SD card may be corrupted and you need SD card recovery, damaged, or otherwise compromised which means that your data is at risk.

1.Missing files
2.A “Cannot Read from the Device” warning is given
3.Initialization failure of the system
4.Memory card error appears when trying to use the card
5.No information appearing on your SD card when you know files should be available
6.A black screen on your camera, making it unable to take pictures
7.Formatting error following insertion of SD card to another device, such as a PC
8.Failure of the re-write occurs
9.CRC error during copying or transfer of data

If you encounter any one of these errors, your SD card may be damaged, corrupted, or compromised. It may be that the error is intermittent which means that you are able to access the card after an initial warning or stoppage. If so, you should take advantage of the opportunity to transfer the data off the card before you lose total access.
Causes
There are many causes or reasons why your SD card can become corrupted, damaged, or compromised in the performance of its operation. Understanding the causes will help you in preventing potential damage from occurring which keeps your SD card running smoothly.
Overuse of the same SD card in multiple systems
Fast removal of the card during transfers
Malware or virus attack
Impact from dropping or striking SD card

File system errors SD card recovery

Interruptions or mistakes when changing the format of the SD card
Exceeding the memory limit of the SD card
You can help prevent a virus or malware attack by using the latest security software. Otherwise, you can prevent many of the potential damaging incidents from occurring if you limit the use of the SD card to single systems, remove slowly only after transfers are complete, and keeping well within the memory limit of the card itself.
Other causes, such as mistakes made when formatting the SD card, dropping the card, or errors in the file system are more difficult to prevent. Even the most careful of individuals will not be able to prevent all damage that might occur. However, by treating the SD card carefully, you can limit the number of opportunities that the card may become damaged and need SD card Recovery.
The best way to prevent a compromise of your SD card keeping you from the data that is stored is to back up the files on a regular basis. The more often you can back up the information, especially after new files have been added, the less damage will incur if you lose access to your SD card.

How to Recover Deleted Photos from Your SD Card

How to Recover Deleted Photos from Your SD Card Deleted Photo Recovery

Whether you accidentally deleted the photos you just took or your toddler when on their own photographic adventure starting with deleting your work, recovering the deleted photo recovery entries may not be as difficult as you might think. This is especially true if you have not taken additional photos or put anything else on the SD card.
This is because the delete  command you pressed only marks the space on the memory card for it to be used, it does not actually overwrite the space itself until you add new photos. This means that a simple file recovery utility or program will bring back your photos. If you have a reformatted memory card, you can use a standard format command to get back your deleted photos. You do not want to use a low-level format because it will render the deleted files as not recoverable.
Your Own System
Before you take any action to recover the lost photos, first look at the SD card and the system that may be in place for you to reverse an accidental deletion. You might be surprised to find that your camera or SC card may have a system in place that allows you to recover the information in case it is accidentally deleted.
So, the first step is to go over the system that you have by reading the manual or checking with their website to see if something is in place. You may be surprised to find that there is, allowing you to recover the information. However, you also may find that there isn’t and you’ll need to take the next step.
Obtaining Recovery Software for deleted photo recovery
If you do not have a system in place to recover the lost data, there are a myriad of software recovery programs that you can purchase or download for free. The free recovery programs are perfect for accidental deletions when you have not put anything new on the SD card. A couple of the best include the following;
Recovery Files 2.1
Pandora Recovery 2.1.1
Each program is easy to use and provides a step-by-step process that lets you recover your deleted photo recovery in just a few minutes. Pandora recovers photo and video files with ease and provides a portable version for your mobile phone, although you will have to purchase it.
Other recovery applications include PhotoRec 6.11.3 and Exif Untrasher, which also work to recover photos that have been accidentally deleted. Both versions are relatively simple to use and provide you with the ability to quickly recover photos from deleted photo recover.
If the reason why you have lost photos has something to do with the drive itself, such as the drive crashing or becoming damaged, then you will need professional assistance to get your photos back. This is because standard recovery programs are not designed to pull data from damaged systems. While you might take the chance, it is better to trust a professional team to do the work.

How to Remove a Hard Drive from a Computer.Hard Drive Recovery.

How to Remove a Hard Drive from a Computer.Hard Drive Recovery.

If your hard drive has failed and you need hard drive recovery or if you want to replace the hard drive in your computer with a new one, you can remove it using the following steps. The good news is that how to remove a hard drive from a computer is straightforward, but there are always exceptions. It pays to start by examining the information on how to remove a hard drive from the brand or manufacturer first, but they mostly follow the same pattern.
Preparation
First, if your hard drive is still working, you will want to back up the information on it before removal. This way, if anything goes wrong during the removal process, you will at least have the information stored securely somewhere else.
If your goal is to replace your hard drive with another for hard drive recovery, be sure that the one you get is made for your computer. The key is to ensure that the replacement hard drive uses the same form factor and data or power connections as the original. That way, replacement is easy, and you do not have to add any new connectors or other equipment. You will want to check first before purchasing a new hard drive that it will fit your computer.
Another factor is whether the motherboard will support the new hard drive, so you will need to see if the IDE or SATA connections are the same. Plus, hard drives come in different sizes, so you will need to make sure that the new one will fit properly. The new 2.5” SSDs are highly popular, so check to see if they will fit into your computer which used the standard disc hard drive.
Starting the Removal Process
Once you are ready, the first step is to unplug the computer so there no electrical current. However, there is always the chance that static electricity may damage the parts, so take extra care with electronic components. This means that you need to be grounded when touching the computer, so wearing an anti-static strap is important. If you do not have a strap, you can hold on to the back of the computer case which will also ground you. This way, any static electricity will discharge into the computer case and not damage any components.
Now you are ready to open the computer case, so remove the screws located on the back of the tower and take off the panels. Some tower cases do not use screws, so you will need to find the button or latch that releases the panels.
Locate and Free Hard Drive
You should see the hard drive inside a cage, so the first step is to identify and disconnect the power and data connections. Once removed, you can start on the drive itself by removing the screws that’s holding it inside the case. There are usually screws on both sides, so be sure to keep the removed screws in one place so you can easily find them. Once the screws are removed, you can pull the hard drive from the cage.
If you have an IDE hard drive, then you will want to match the settings on the jumper for your replacement hard drive. SATA drives do not need to do this, but IDE hard drives will have one of three settings;
Master
Slave
Cable
Simply look at the IDE hard drive you removed and make sure the replacement drive is set the same way. You may have to look at the diagram if you cannot see the jumper positions on the IDE drive. Once you match the settings, you are ready to put in the new drive.
Keep in mind that if the disk of the hard drive is damaged, repair is usually not possible or practical. However, it may be possible to recover some, if not all the old data that was stored. Again, you’ll want to try to recover the data before removing the drive.
Replacing the Drive
All you need to do is reverse the process of taking out the drive. Start by putting the new drive into the cage, putting back the screws so it is secure, and then attaching the power and data cables. Once in place, you will need to reinstall your software or use recovery disks if you want the data from your old drive to be put onto the new one. Be sure that the new hard drive is compatible so that it works for your computer.
If you are not interested in reloading the old drive’s information, then simply installing an operating system will provide you with a working computer drive. Now you have completed the process of removing your old drive and installing a new one. The old hard drive of your computer can be used externally, but the desktop will no longer work. The old hard drive will operate like an external storage device.
There may be some small differences between different computer manufacturers, but for the most part the towers and drives are made to work together. This means that you should be able to find what you need and learn if it is compatible with your current computer and whether it will fit into the cage that held the old hard drive.
Recovering the Data
If you are interested in recovering the data from your old hard drive, then you should seek out professional help if there has been any damage. Undamaged hard drives that are still working can be backed up easily by using an external storage system whether it is another drive or on the cloud. However, if the hard drive you are removing has been damaged or you cannot access the information, then you should take it to a professional data recovery company.
While some consumer data recovery software is good, there is no guarantee that the information will be recovered properly while doing hard drive recovery. So, if the information that is trapped on the damaged hard drive represents real value to you, then taking it to a professional data recovery company is the answer.

Programs that Prevent Data Loss to Ransomware

Ransomware is quite popular among cybercriminals who use it t break into computer systems in a similar fashion as viruses and malware that cause data loss. The good news is that there are programs that can protect your computer systems from ransomware, safeguarding your devices so that they are not infiltrated by criminals.
You can purchase such program as standalone products or combined with other protections that help keep your computer free of virus or malware attacks. What follows are a few of the more popular security protection programs designed to stop the latest ransomware attacks.

Bitdefender Anti-Ransomware Tool

This software program can stop ransomware attacks in their tracks to prevent data loss. It can do this because of the way ransomware programs operate by ignoring areas that appear to be infected. Bitdefender uses that quirk to create the appearance that all the computer programs are infected which in turn neutralizes many ransomware programs. However, it does not work on all ransomware, so Bitdefender should be used in conjunction with other programs.

Cybersight RansomFree

This is a program that uses several methods to prevent ransomware from affecting your computer. It uses the basic technology that is available in all Cybersight anti-ransomware and antivirus products. This includes examining programs that run like known ransomware, analyzing its behavior, and taking the appropriate countermeasures. The good news about this program is that it’s free for both personal and business use.

Cybersight RansomStopper

Similar to Bitdefender, this is an excellent add-on to already existing antivirus programs for your computer system. The Cybersight does not use write-protected folders to counter unknown programs, it instead analyzes your computer to detect programs that run like standard ransomware and then shuts it down. The good news about this software program is that you can use it in conjunction with established antivirus programs on your computer without any conflicting issues. It’s well-suited for business or personal use.

Trend Micro RansomBuster

Offered by Trend Micro, this program works well for businesses and personal use. It prevents programs from modifying or changing files in specified folders, but does allow for common program, such as Microsoft office to use them without having to go through the filter. This system operates with the known programs on your computer but does not allow outside programs to affect the files.

Windows Defender

While Windows Defender has been around for a while, the new version for Windows 10 offers a controlled access feature designed to stop unauthorized programs from accessing the core of system files on your Windows program. This means that your personal information is protected, and you can designate specific folders to resist access from outside unauthorized programs as well. However, it is not compatible with third-party software, so be aware of this feature.

Of course, the best prevention for data loss is never allowing your programs to be affected by ransomware which holds your information out of reach until you pay the fee. You should install effective anti-ransomware software and be careful about opening any program that you do not know about on your computer.

SSD Recovery, Shoot, Edit, Post, Recover!

SSD Recovery, Shoot, Edit, Post, Recover!

As a student, I shoot, edit, and post a lot of videos to YouTube. So as a result, I do a lot of my work using SSD drives because of their greater speed. Anyone who has ever had to render video edits, especially with large files will understand that anything which speeds up the process is most welcome. Unfortunately, SSDs are vulnerable for SSD recovery to breaking down just like standard hard drives and sure enough I was just completing a big project when one of my SSDs crashed.
Unfortunately, I didn’t know much about SSD recovery and the drive  was at a loss in knowing what to do other than replacing it. But that wasn’t a desirable option because there was a considerable amount of data that I needed to access from the drive. After kicking myself for not investing in good backups, a friend of mine recommended Data Recovery 47.
At first, I was hesitant to take my SSD to a company that I had not heard of before, but my friend assured me that they did excellent work. So, I took the drive to Data Recovery 47 and hoped for the best.
From the moment I walked into the door, I was greeted and treated nicely by the staff. They listened to what happened with my drive, went over what they could do, and then started to work in retrieving the data. I’m sure they could see the panic in my face, but I felt so much calmer when I realized the kind of professionalism that came with their service. They didn’t make huge promises, but instead informed me of what to expect which included the possibility of not getting any data off the drive.
I really couldn’t believe that I got the data off the drive so quickly. I had read in some publications that it might take several days, if at all that the information could be pulled off the drive. However, Data Recovery 47 did it in far less time and they managed to save everything off the drive. The speed in which they worked really amazed me and the price they charged easily fit within my budget.
I have certainly learned my lesson. From now on, I back up all my data and trust Data Recovery 47 to retrieve the information off crashed drives. They were fast, friendly, and efficient while charging a more than reasonable price. If your SSD or hard drive crashes and you need SSD recovery, take my word that Data Recovery 47 will do their best to recover all the data.

Everything You Need to Know about Heads on Your Hard Drive Recovery

Everything You Need to Know about Heads on Your Hard Drive Recovery

The heads on your hard drive are arguably the most important components that allow the data to be read while hard drive recovery, transferred, and stored on your computer. If you imagine the hard drive is like a record player with moving components, that’s the best way to understand how the heads operate. This is how a reputable data recovery company views the hard drive and it will help you better understand how the heads operate within that system.
Inside the hard drive are discs or platters that contain the data. The files that are stored on the hard drive are much like a record and the heads both read and record that information as the disc spins inside. In fact, the heads are located on the end of the actuator arm, again, much like a record player and they are the devices that read and record the information on the discs.
You’ll find more than on platter or disc that are stacked with the data being written on both sides. So, if a hard drive has three discs, there will be six heads inside the hard drive that read and write the information.
What Happens When the Heads Go Bad
While some heads will fall apart without any warning needing hard drive recovery, in many cases there are signs that the heads are starting to fall apart or have been affected.

Clicks when Drive is Spinning
-Unusual Beeping, Chirping, or Scraping
-Clicks, then the Drive Stops Spinning

When you hear any of these warning signs, you should shut off your computer quickly to prevent further damage. There are several ways that the heads can go bad on your computer. The most common types of damage or deterioration include, but are not limited to the following;

Normal Wear & Tear
-Debris Inside the Drive
-Inadvertent Contact with the Discs or Platters
-Misalignment, usually caused by Impact
-Scratched Platters
-Bad Manufacturing or Cheap Parts that Fall Apart

The heads are quite sensitive, so anything that comes into contact with them stands the chance of causing damage. Keep in mind that it could be one head that might be failing, but because of their proximity, it is common that when one head is damaged, the rest will follow.
When the heads are damaged, start to deteriorate, or become misaligned, it is like when the needle of the record player is affected which in turn prevents you from hearing the audio. You will need to change out the affected heads so that you can read the information off the discs. The heads themselves float above the discs and travel up to 12,000RPMs depending on the speed of the hard drive itself.

Swapping Out the Heads

This is a simple procedure that can be performed by a professional data recovery company. When you hear the first signs of the heads starting to deteriorate and need hard drive recovery, take your computer to their facilities or having them come by your office or home. They will be able to swap out the bad heads for the good ones and hopefully do so before any damage is done to the discs or platters inside.
